A Canonical Name record (CNAME record) is a type of resource record in the Domain Name System (DNS) that maps one domain name (an alias) to another (the canonical name).

If you have customized the CDN domain, you need to point the origin domain to the CNAME provided by AgileCDN to use the CDN service. To add the CNAME for your CDN, you can follow the instruction below.


Part One: Obtain the CNAME record of domain name

Step 1. Log in to AgileCDN dashboard.


Step 2. Select CDN Management and copy the CNAME record of domain name.



Part Two: Add the CNAME record

Step 1. Log in to domain name console provided by your hosting provider.

Step 2. Access the section for DNS settings.

Step 3. Add a CNAME record for your CDN domain name.


For some DNS service providers, set the proxy status to DNS only and disable the proxy
